The villa is built in Balinese Style comprising 2 wings (bedroom section and lounge, kitchen, and laundry area) arranged around an 8 x 3m Pool.
Therefore all rooms face the pool as does the gazebo. All rooms are air-conditioned including the kitchen and all 3 bedrooms have their own bathroom and an additional shower/toilet is close to the pool.
An area between the two wings has been covered and provides shade and an additional outdoor lounge area.
Let’s take a walk around the house starting with the laundry area. Currently holding two washing machines, a drier, and clothes racks, laundry cannot be seen either from the road or from next door. It is covered. Airflow is ensured.
From there we walk into the western-style kitchen with a gas hob and electric oven. It has plenty of cupboard space, accommodates two fridges, has a cooker hood, and is air-conditioned. It is separated from the lounge by a glass door to reduce cooking smells.
The lounge is mainly used at night, is air-conditioned, accommodates a 60-inch TV in a recess, and has a storage cupboard attached.
The main entrance is via a covered carport for two cars leading to a door to the outdoor lounge area. Additional covered storage space is provided at the back of the house. Access is via the carport or third bedroom.
As you walk in via the front door the bedroom wing is on your right. A pool toilet/shower and wash hand basin are provided. The master bedroom has a ‘private space’ that accommodates a couch and TV. Two bedrooms are fairly large with high ceilings as has the rest of the house.
The master bedroom and what we call the blue room are our favorites. All the bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes. Next to the bedroom section is a gazebo, again facing the pool. And that is our house. It is not merely a house it is a home and the minute you walk in you will feel that.
It is situated in Land and House Park, Chalong, Phuket. Land and House is a large park with a lake, clubhouse, and 24-hour security patrols.
Three entrances are proved with access control however although the security is good it is unobtrusive. There is no prison-like atmosphere at all just a friendly greeting if you are walking the dog at 2am
The gate to the carport is motorized and operated by remotes and a pedestrian gate is provided.
Payment details are negotiable should other currencies be used. The Levy for the complex is about 20,000 baht per year and certain statutory expenses are about the same.
The current owners have a pool cleaning service and a maid, both of which come in twice a week. They are recommended as they suit the needs perfectly.
The house stands on a 328 sqm plot which is tiled throughout. No lawnmowers. The interior is 235 sqm excluding shaded lounge areas.
The house is very private as the height of the walls has been increased using a conwood slatted fence which allows airflow whilst maintaining privacy. It has not been raised for security reasons as Land & House is a very safe estate.
